ENVIRONS OF BROTHERLY LOVE
Cross another state off the list! I made it to Pennsylvania yesterday -- first time ever. I drove up with Geoffrey as he went to get a car from a Saturn dealership in Doylestown, just north of Philadelphia. I even had an authentic (I assume) Philly (except you don't say "Philly," there, a fact I didn't figure out until almost too late) cheesesteak. Mmmm, tasty!
My impression of Pennsylvania is that (a) it's a cold, snowy place, as evidenced by the fact that the ground became snowy almost instantly after we crossed the state line, and (b) it costs a lot of money and involves a lot of stopping to use their highways. I think we stopped for tolls four or five times each way on this trip. Not all of those times were in Pennsylvania, but I'm going to blame Pennsylvania anyway. In general, however, it seems like a fine state. I wouldn't mind going back one day ... when it's not winter.
